Marie C. Lex, 100, of Springfield died at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday at Clarkston Court. She was born Nov. 24, 1890, in Springfield, the daughter of Edward J. and Mary C. Donovan Rohan. She married John A. Lex in 1919; he died in 1965. A resident of Springfield most of her life, Mrs. Lex was a member of St. Joseph Church and St. Joseph Church Altar Guild.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Russell (Mary) Ritter of Springfield; three sons, John E. of Springfield, Joseph R. of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Francis J. of Shreveport, La.; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Yarno and Monsignor Henry J. Knoedler officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
