Funeral services were held Friday, December 14, in Elmhurst. Burial will be in Elm Law Cemetery Mausoleum and Crematorium, Elmhurst , Illinois.
John Claussen Schiele was born July 13, 1906, in Cedar County, Iowa, the son of Gustave and Bertha (Claussen) Schiele. He received his education in the Cedar County schools. He married Kathryn Rose Miller on March 26, 1928, in Wilton. Kathryn preceded him in death on May 8, 1975. He married Doris (Pilcher) Shimp. He was employed as a broker in the Elmhurst area, until he retired.
Surviving are his wife, Doris; one step-daughter, Robi-Lynn Poulos; and two sisters-in-law, Virginia Schiele of Richmond Hill, GA, and Alice Schiele of Durant, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Otto and Richard Schiele.
