Patricia Boyd -
Patricia Jean Parker Boyd passed away April 30, 1983, in Asbury Hospital, Salina, Ks. at the age of 56 years, two months and nine days.

Patty was born in Speed, Ks., Feb. 21, 1927, to Elmer and Leota Ford Parker. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School and attended Wilcox Cosmetoloty Academy of Dodge City.

She was united in marriage to Frank Boyd, Jr. on Aug. 30, 1947, at Stockton, Ks. They made their home at Speed, where she was a resident most of her life. She operated a beauty shop at Speed for two years. She was a cook at the Speed School and managed the Sale Barn Restaurant for many years where she made many friends.

The last ten years she was a homemaker and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Frank (Bud) of Speed; three sons, their wives and seven grandchildren; her parents Elmer and Leota Parker and her mother-in-law, Bernice Boyd, all of Speed and many other friends.

Patty was a devoted daughter and will always be remembered for her devotion to her family, her kindnesses and thoughtfulness shown to all.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, May 4, at 10a.m. in the Oliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert D. Cousins officiating. Fred R. Henrichs sang special music, accompanied by Helen Witmer.

Casket bearers were Bill Duncan, Randall, Lyon, Otto Stelljes, Oren Yowell, Doyle Stanton and Dean Portenier. Honary bearers were all of Patty's friends. Internment was in Fairview Cemetery.
