Fred E. Taylor, 87, Mission Woods, former co-owner of the Taylor Brothers Grocery Store, d. Sat. at the home. Mr. Taylor co-owned and operated the business for 30 years and later was a trustee for Telescope Shopping Cart, Inc. He was a Navy veteran of World War I. He was a member of Unity on the Plaza. Was a member of the Kansas Grocers Assn. and the Shawnee Mission Rotary Club and served on the Mission Woods City Council for 10 years. Was a lifelong resident. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Florence "Tot" Taylor of the home; a son, Robert G. Taylor, K.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Charmaine Myers, Dallas, Mrs. Rosemary Taylor, Harlingen, Tex., and Mrs. Marjorie Cash, O.P., Ks; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 8 pm Tuesday at the O.P. Christian Church; the body was donated to the U. of KS Med Center. Family suggests contributions to the Fred E. Taylor Mem. Fund at the O.O. Christian Church or to the American Parkinson Disease Assn. (Kansas City Star/Times, undated clipping)
