MARGIE ANN STEARNS "MEME" HARLOW passed away at the age of 78 on July 31, 2021, after an illness of chronic lung disease. Margie was a member of the Saint James United Church, an honorary member of the Kitchen Kut Ups and helped with numerous past Vacation Bible School programs. She was a 1961 graduate of Elmore County High School (ECHS) and was one of the chosen beauties and a FFA sweetheart. Before her illness Margie loved crocheting hats and donating them to the Sunshine Center in Montgomery AL; cross-stitching birth and wedding announcements for all her grandchildren; doing yard work; and enjoyed baking her famous seven-layer chocolate cakes for her grandchildren's birthdays. She cherished her friends from ECHS days and loved her family very much. In her professional and personal life, Margie was known as the cleanest housekeeper in her family. She was known to have a Lysol can in one hand and a dusting cloth in the other. Simple put, she was spotless.
Preceded in death by: Arvel Christian Stearns (father), Lovie Lou Gilliland Stearns (mother), Benjamin Arthur "Art" Harlow (husband), Barbara Jean Stearns (sister), and Nellie Irene Stearns Porath (sister).
