Clifford Strother, age 69, known as Cliff to his friends and family was called home on August 2, 2021, surrounded by his daughters.

Cliff was born on November 15, 1951 in Elizabeth, Louisiana, the son of Hares and Lula Strother. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: David, Fletcher, D.W. and Almer. Sisters: Orah Bell, Lavern and Annette.

Cliff enjoyed sitting outside by a open fire, watching bull riding, hunting, riding his motorcycle, road trips, playing dominos or games on his tablet and crosswords puzzles, playing his guitar and singing, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with family either on the phone, in person or texting.

Cliff left to cherish his memories his four daughters: Carol (Larry) Rowinsky, Shirley (JD) Rogers, Brenda (Quintin) Homniok, and Laura (Mike) Glaspie. He leaves behind 10 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren (and another one on the way). Brothers: Everett and William. Sisters: Lue Ellen and Patsy (Bill).

Pallbearers will be Colton Rogers, Jonothan Dean, Carson Rogers, Ricky Mears, Terry Mears, and Joseph Burt.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Gage Rowinsky, John Strother and Bill Tompkins.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones for a visitation on Wednesday, August 4, 2021,from 10:00-11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Stroud Funeral Home, 538 N. Hwy 288B, Clute TX 77531. Interment will follow at Cederlawn Haven-Rest Cemetery in West Columbia, TX.
