Went to be with the Lord Saturday July 31, 2021 age 97 years. Harry was born on May 14, 1924 in Saginaw, MI to the late Otto Sr. and Emma Herzog Bierlein. After his mother's passing, he went to live with Herman and Lorine Knoll. Harry honorably served in the U.S Army. He was married to Elvera Bernthal on June 2, 1950; she predeceased him on January 30, 2013.

Harry owned and operated Harry Bierlein Builders for over 30 years. Harry was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church where he was a member of the Adult Male Choir and served in various capacities. He was also a 50-year member of the American Legion Post 150 and also served as a Rotarian.

Surviving are three daughters Linda (Tom) Daugharty of Frankenmuth, MI, Laura (Gary) Schaeff of Saginaw, Mi, Diane (Mike) Bender of Birch Run, MI; 12 grandchildren John (Danielle) Daugharty, Mark Daugharty, Paul (Samantha) Daugharty, Adam (Amy) Daugharty, Lisa Bierlein, Douglas Bierlein, Kelly (Micah) Baumgartner, Bryan (Jacqueline) Schaeff, Kristy (Wes) Marshall, Kayla Bender (fiancée Dan Redford), Julia Bender, and David Bender; 18 great-grandchildren Alexandria Daugharty, Paul Daugharty Jr., Ella and Brynlie Rex, Luke, Jake and Ava Daugharty, Kaelyn Bierlein, Annika, Hantz, Korinthia and Daniella Baumgartner, Emmett and Kennedy Schaeff, Jase and Greysen Bills, Wyatt and Rowen Marshall; step-sister Judy (Jim) Mitchell, step-brother Jack McDonald, brothers and sisters-in-law Jim Adams, Hildred Bernthal, Harold and Peggy Bernthal, and Marilyn Bernthal; also many nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife Elvera, Harry was preceded in death by one son Gerald Bierlein, two great- grandchildren Michael and Gabriel Daugharty; grandson-in-law Brandon Bills; brothers and sisters Robert Bierlein, Otto Bierlein Jr., Viola Bierlein, Marion Watrous, and Barbara Adams.

Public memorial service will take place on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan.
