Carol Jean Roberts, 80, of Rocky Mount, formerly of Roanoke, Salem, and Saltville peacefully went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 25, 2021.
Carol Jean was preceded in death by her parents Oakley Jean and Lucille Brickey Holloway Hurt, and her beloved husband William C. ("Bill") Roberts, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her twin children, Sally Blair Roberts and William Carter Roberts Jr., Will's wife Dara Roberts, and Carol's grandchildren, Kaiden Leigh Roberts and William Carter Roberts III.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Rev. Kathryn Budzik will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Angels of Assisi (415 Campbell Avenue SW, 24016.
