Lynda Louise Bethune passed away on July 23, 2021 at the age of 74.

She is survived by her son, Kurt Scheer of Trussville, Alabama; grandchildren, Sarah, Ashley, and Anna Scheer; great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Mari Jane, and Kerri Lynn Scheer; nephew, John M. Kramer (Melissa); great-nephew, Jonathan Kramer-family from Reform, Alabama; surviving uncle, William Latham; and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John H. Bethune and Louise Latham Bethune; and sister, Barbara Bethune.

Lynda was born in Mountain Brook, Alabama and lived most of her adult life in Huntsville, Alabama.

She enjoyed entertaining, playing tennis, eating out with friends, and spending time with her family. She owned a high-end home décor business in Huntsville, Alabama called Details. Lynda was also a major partner in the Sun Valley Development Company in Trussville. She was a member of Whiteburg Baptist Church in Huntsville, and Mountain Brook Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, July 30, 2021 at 1pm at Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home, with a celebration of Lynda's life to follow at 2pm. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
