Mr. W. Cleaven McGuire 78, of Pembroke, Virginia, departed this life Wednesday morning, July 28, 2021, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital.
Born at home in Pembroke, Virginia on October 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Roy Edward and Shirley Rose McGuire.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda McGuire.
Cleave leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Jody; son, Raymond (Tammy) McGuire of Pearisburg, VA; step-son, Michael (Pamela) Atkins of Salem, Virginia, grandson, John Cleaven "J.C" (Kelsey) McGuire; granddaughter, Makayla McGuire and her special friend Christopher; and a step-great grandson, Greycen; sister Bonnie (Billy) Gautier; brother, Gene "Woody" (Ginger) McGuire; special nephew, Stanley (Vickie) Lucas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday, August 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Gary Poff and Eddie Kendall officiating. Funeral services will conclude at Birchlawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, August 1, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to be serving the McGuire Family.
