During his school years, Dan enjoyed learning the piano along with the trumpet. Music would continue on as one of his greatest passions. He was a church pianist most of his adult life and enjoyed playing at different clubs and nursing homes. Dan's gift of music was a blessing to so many.

Dan studied Computer Technology and worked for Mutual of Omaha as a computer analyst for several years until he was laid off. Dan then moved to Charles City and began working for Zoetis, where he was still employed.

Dan and Tami loved to travel and see new things.
