Terry O. Moore, 79, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:27 pm July 28, 2021 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born May 17, 1942 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Thomas Holland and Velma Bernice (Ellis) Moore. Terry married Beverly (Spillman) Moore on December 8, 1962.

In addition to his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Terry is survived by his son, Thomas Moore of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughter, Christi Hulvey and husband, Mike of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Erica Capps and husband, Josh, Cady Moore, Tyler Hulvey and wife, Kelsie, Brooke Poniski and husband, Hayden, Blake Moore, Abbie Burns and husband, Emmett, Maddie Moore; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Moore had served as Mount Vernon Township Highway Commissioner for thirty-six years. He was a member of Landmark Church in Mount Vernon. Terry enjoyed farming and gardening. He loved his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois.
