John A. Oliver, Sr., 83 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, July 21st, 2021, at The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville, GA. Mr. Oliver was born on October 15th, 1937, to Lloyd Eugene Oliver and Dallas Cleo Steele Oliver.

Preceded in death by Sharon Van Dyke Oliver, wife of 51 years; daughter Tina Oliver Breeding; parents; and brothers Sonny Oliver and Louis Oliver.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Oliver on Saturday, July 31st, 2021, at 1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00am - 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Oliver was a member of West Huntsville Baptist Church.
