James (expiree) was convicted in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, on 6 December 1852 for committing rape and sentenced to 20 years transportation. He arrived in Western Australia aboard the ship "Adelaide" on 18 July 1855. James was given his Ticket-of-Leave on 20 March 1858 and a Conditional Pardon on 18 April 1864.

Worked as a shepherd and shearer mainly for the Dempster family at Esperance, Western Australia.

Martin Riley (1835-?) was transported to WA on the ship 'Stag" on 23 May 1855. Left WA on 13 May 1864 aboard the "Robert Edwards" as a whaler.
