Louise was born in Middlefield,Hampshire,Mass. She was the wife of Dr. Charles Starkweather, mother of Ethel, Annie, Olive, Ellen, Hazel Park Starkweather. As the wife of a country doctor she kept statistics on the birth of children her husband delivered. She was the daughter of Isaac W. Doten and Fidelia Wright. Isaac W. Doten was a physician who was stricken with diptheria shortly after graduating from medical school and died soon after (1863).He was preceded in death by his wife Fidelia (1856)leaving to mourn two children, Louise F. Doten and Alfred Isaac Doten. The two children were raised by Clarke Brainard Wright Fidelia's brother.
