Pioneer County Woman, Mrs. Marian Foster, Dies at Hot Springs at Age 83- Came to Crooks in 1876. Word was received last night of the death of Mrs. H. A. Foster, pioneer resident of Sioux Falls. She was 83 years of age and had been at the Soldiers' home at Hot Springs since last July, previous to which time she was a resident of Minnehaha county for 50 years.
Mrs. Foster was born in PA from where she came to SD in 1843, and moved from there to Osage territory with Mr. Foster, who was a Civil War veteran, in 1876.
