Genevieve Dunand Broussard was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. She worked for the Lafayette Assessors Office and Lafayette Building Association many years before her retirement. Mrs. Broussard was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she cherished. She also enjoyed coffee and conversation with her "Magnolia Sisters". Mrs. Broussard was a member of the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church "Seton Pearls" and the St. Anne Society. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include three daughters, Dona Broussard Dugas and her husband, David, Lisa Broussard Breaux and her companion Brian Mason and Myra Broussard Romero and her husband, Damon, all of Lafayette; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Dugas Parks and Husband, Rick, Tyler Dugas and wife, Micah, Taylor Dugas and wife, Brae, Meagan Alleman, Lance Boudreaux and wife, Abbie, Lindsey Breaux, Dylan Romero, Camron Romero and Connor Romero; four great grandchildren, Carter Breaux, Lucas Dugas, Benjamin Parks and Eliza Dugas; one sister, Barbara Dunand Prejean and husband, Albert; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine "Jean" Dunand and Geri Thibodeaux; and one brother-in-law, Robert Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Joseph Broussard; her parents, Paul Dunand, Sr. and Ella Mae Veazey Dunand; great grandson, Cal David Parks; two sisters, Julie D. Brown and Shirley Mae D. Boudreaux; and two brothers, Charles Chester Dunand and Paul Dunand, Jr.
