Franklin Timothy Lankford of Sheridan, Arkansas was born on November 7, 1945, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the son of the late Raymond Franklin and Marie Annie Rodgers Lankford.

He was a minister for 44 years and had been a minister for 32 years at Ephesus Baptist Church in Sheridan. He also preached at New Bethel in Hot Springs, Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood, Flatwoods in Mt View, and Poyen Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, going to grandkids ballgames, and preaching.

Mr. Lankford went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 26, 2021, at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 75.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Lankford; sister, Lucille McCroskey, and 2 grandchildren, Jake Hogg and Nick Hogg.

Survivors: wife, Linda June Hall Lankford of Sheridan; son, Rob (Renee) Lankford of Glen Rose; daughter, Brenda Cox of Hensley; 4 grandchildren, Zack, Daniel, Noah, and Kari; 4 great-grandchildren, Josh, Kalli, S.J., and Emmy-Dawn, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Goodman officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at Price Cemetery in Garland County. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Wade Lunday, Bryce Lunday, J.R. Ware, Zack Hogg, Noah Lankford, and Daniel Lankford. Honorary pallbearers are members of Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church and members of B and R Hunting Club.
