Don Edward Perteet was born November 21st, 1948 in the front seat of a 1946 Chevy pick-up on Highway 69 between Kiowa and McAlester. He left this earth peacefully, at 72 years and 8 months old, in his home on July 21st, 2021.

At the age of 17, Don was called into the ministry and served as a bi-vocational pastor at many different churches all over the state of Oklahoma, and as Chaplin at Jackie Brannon Correctional Center for 18 years before retiring in January 2011. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and was always good for a great, long story. Don graduated from Kiowa High School in 1968, and from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1975. He was loved and respected by many, but none more than his family. Don married his wife of 32 years, Connie Raelynn Burton-Fadler, on June 30th, 1989. Together they raised 4 children, Christina, Barrett, Blake and Leigha.

Don is survived by his wife, Connie, of the home, Daughters: Christina Snyder and husband Michael of Montague, MI, and Leigha Perteet of Moore, OK, Sons: Barrett Fadler and wife Amanda of McAlester, OK, Blake Fadler and wife Gervais of Edmond, OK. Brother, James Riley Perteet and wife Marla of Kiowa, OK, Sisters: Sue Caldwell of McAlester, OK, Beverly Lovett of TX, 6 grandchildren, Matthias, Holland, and Emma Snyder of Montague, MI, Xander and Ezra Fadler of McAlester, OK and Aria Shockley of Moore, OK, along with many nieces and nephews.

Don is proceeded in death by his parents, Euel James and Marguerite Perteet, and Brother Euel Dennis Perteet.
