Andreas Cornelius N. Jantz was born in Oct 1820 in Karolswalde, Volhynia*, his baptism was held on 4 Jun 1838 in the same village. He along with his wife, immigrated on 27 Nov 1874 with other friends and family members on the ship, City of Montreal; which arrived in New York. He lived in Dolton, South Dakota where years later, he died on 12 Nov 1904 . He was the son of Cornelius Cornelius N. (Cornels) Jantz and Katharina "Trinke" - Nightingale (Nachtigal), who were also born in the Mennonite village of Karlswalde.

He married Anna D. B. Unruh 31 May 1841 in Karolswalde, Volhynia, daughter of David Georg Unruh and Maria Becker. She was born 20 Mar 1824 in Karolswalde, Volhynia, and died 12 Nov 1904 in South Dakota.
No names are given for any children born of this union.

Eva C.N. Jantz was born 16 Aug 1806 in Deutsch Michalin, Poland, and died 11 Mar 1843 in Karolswalde, Volhynia. She married Abraham Jacob Siebert 18 Nov 1824 in Karolswalde, Volhynia, son of Jacob Adrian Siebert. He was born 16 Feb 1799 in Deutsch Michalin, Poland, and died 28 May 1869 in Karolswalde, Volhynia. No known children of this marriage.

were: Cornelius Johann D "Cornels" Jantz and Gertruda M S "Trudcke" Nightingale (Nachtigahl).

Jantz was Peter Jantz born 1650 in Przechowka, Prussia.
The name of Peter's wife is unknown. He is also my
earliest known ancestor.

* Karolswalde, Volhynia was in the Ostrog region of then
Polish Russia, it was a small village 15 miles from another
village named, Antanofka, both were Mennonite villages.
The name Russia Federation actually came much later, after
the decendants of the above families came to America.
