Leroy was born on March 12, 1947.
Leroy was preceded in death by his mother, Fulgencia Durán, maternal grandparents, Don Jesús Roybal, whom was like a father to him, and Maclovia Roybal, aunt, Trinnie, uncle, Aguinaldo Romero, aunt, Rose, uncle, Ignacio Gonzáles, cousins, John, Patsy and David Romero and his beloved Godparents, Praxedes and Otilia (Tillie) Luján-López.
Leroy retired from Los Alamos after twenty-two years with the Teamsters Union.
Leroy was a mischievous, fun loving and caring person. Leroy enjoyed spending time with his two sons and grandchildren. Leroy was a true Kansas City Chiefs fan and he also loved going to car shows.
Leroy enjoyed visiting his friends and co-workers while cruising in his '56 Chevy pickup or his '67 Impala.
Leroy is survived by his two sons, Dennis and his fiancée, Fran of Española and Leroy Jr. of Chimayo, four grandchildren that he adored and loved, Mathew, Jenessa, Dennis Jr. and Ennalyeya Durán and many other close friends and relatives.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque. Interment will be at El Rancho Catholic Cemetery immediately following the service. Serving the family as pallbearers are Dennis Durán, Leroy Durán Jr., Jake Roybal, Aniver Roybal, Michael Vigil and George Vigil.
