Rita was born on September 26, 1963 in Jackson to Gene and Ethel Brooks. She was called WeWe by her niece, nephews, great nephews and great nieces which she loved spending time with. She also had a love for cats.
She was preceded in death by her nephew Dusty Lynch.
She is survived by her parents, Gene and Ethel Brooks of Medon; brother Timmy (Betty) Brooks of Pinson; sister Cheryl (Kenny) Jackson of Lavinia; niece Amanda March of Medina; nephew Cody Lynch of Pinson and nephew Colton (Amelia) Lynch of Huron; two great nephews and three great nieces.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Rhonda Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery in Carroll County, TN.
