Annestel M. Ransom, 98, passed away on July 22, 2021 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Oxford, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donations to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.7015 Rivoli Dr., Macon GA 31210.

Annestel was born in Sharpsburg, Georgia (Coweta County) on August 31, 1922 to Walter Edgar Maynard and Estelle Biles Maynard.

She was a homemaker and mother and she worked for Sears Roebuck where she retired in 1989. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

Annestel is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her son, Fred (Julie) Ransom, daughter, Judy Ragan, grandsons, Chuck (Angela) Ragan and Jeff (Cathy) Ransom and several nieces and nephews.
