Betty was born on June 15, 1939, in Jasper County, Illinois the daughter of Roscoe E. and Mabel Lucille (Specht) Hicks. Betty worked for the Essex Wiring Plant for many years. After the plant relocated, she was a home healthcare provider. Betty was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed tending her flowers and garden.
She will be loved and remembered by cousins Eloise (Charles) Fritschle of Newton and Carolyn (Donald) Rubsam of Baldwin, MO; and many dear friends.
Her parents, cousin Herman Calvert, and special friend Louie Doan preceded her in death.
