Kathleen, GA – Gilberto Ayala-Pagán, 88, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at his residence.
Gilberto was born on May 19, 1933, in Fajardo Puerto Rico to the late Leocadio Ayala and Dionisio Pagán. He faithfully and honorably served in the United States Army until he retired. Gilberto worked civil service at Robins Air Force Base as an electronics specialist, where he also retired. He received his bachelor's degree while working at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of the local Hispanic heritage group, where he was the previous treasurer. He enjoyed playing dominoes, and watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. Gilberto loved living life and spending time with his family and friends. Gilberto's family would like to extend a very special thank you to his caregivers, Erika Clark, and Visiting Angels of Warner Robins.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughters: Patricia Bogatschow (Roman) of Warner Robins and Benita Hickey (Gene) of Macon; grandchildren: Matthew Hickey (Stephanie), Rebecca Stinson and Caleb Hickey (Katelyn); several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
