SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Frances (Lucy) Schell Atchley, 74, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Bill Dean and the Rev. Keith Pugh officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Atchley died Nov. 3 at her residence. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Alton Schell (FAG 7598163). She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sylacauga, was a X-ray technician for more than 25 years and was employed locally by both Craddock Clinic and Sylacauga Hospital. She was also an X-ray technician instructor at UAB.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford W. Atchley of Sylacauga; daughter, Cassandra A. Glass of Auburn; son, Thomas E. Atchley of Sylacauga; stepdaughter, Theresa Renee Atchley Morris of Deltona, Fla.; sisters, Mildred Louise Yielding of Mountain Brook and Mary Virginia Murphy of Cleveland; brother, Harold Schell of Sylacauga; grandchildren, Victoria Marie Atchley, Jamie Frances Glass, Veronica Nicole Atchley, Cynthia Dawn Morris, Elizabeth Renee Spencer, Kristine Nicole Morris and William C. Morris III; great-grandchild, Lydia Renee Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Schell, Thomas Atchley, Tommy Moore, Tim Neal, Todd Glass and Scott Glass.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Schell, Frankie Glass, Billy Joe Shell, David Austin and Clifford Atchley.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice or a favorite charity.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.
