CHERRYVILLE — Rachel Christin Carpenter Beam, 77, of Sussex Ave., died Nov. 7, 2007, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 9, 1930, daughter of the late Perry and Jessie White Carpenter.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Friday, Mt. Zion Baptist Church
INTERMENT: Church cemetery
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Carpenter's Funeral Home
Mrs. Beam was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. For many years Rachel made doll dresses and stockings and Emmett Clark fixed up bicycles and presented them to under privileged children in Cherryville.
SURVIVORS: Her son, Dennis "Denny" Beam, Jr. and wife Renee' of Cherryville and a grandson Jesse Beam, Cherryville. Three brothers, Dean Carpenter and wife Betty, of Cherryville, Jim Carpenter and Wade Carpenter and wife Pansy of Shelby
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, by her husband, Dennis Beam, Sr. and a brother and sister-in-law Dale and Frances Carpenter
