She had 2 older twin sisters, Adeline and Elizabeth. She married Elwin Douglas SMITH (1958-1900) about 1984 in Lacon and they had five children together. The first 4 children were born in Lacon and John Gordon in Virginia. Erma Elwinia, Gerald Douglas, Vera F., Melba Winifred, and John Gordon. After John's birth she and Elwin moved to Pleasantville where Elwin died. She then married Clarence Benson Davis in 1901 and they had two children together, Althea May and Alfred. She died on April 23, 1934, in Pleasantville, New Jersey, at the age of 70, and was buried there.
