CERRO GORDO--April 16, Morris Vanhorn died in his home near La Place,Wednesday afternoon. He had been in poor health for some time. The funeral will be held from the family home northwest of La Place on Friday at 2 oclock with burial in the La Place cemetery.
Mr.VanHorn was born near Morrow,Ohio,Jan. 2,1859. He was married to Anna B.Jennings,March 5, 1882 and to this union were born two daughters and two sons,all of whom survive. They are Clifford and William VanHorn and Mrs. Hazel Hoots and Mrs.Carrie Cripe, all of La Place. He also leaves one brother and five sisters and six grandchildren.
