Gretchen E. Johnson, 90, lifelong resident of Morris, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at Park Pointe Healthcare. She was born in Morris on November 18, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Eich) Rudow.
Gretchen graduated from Morris High School with the class of 1948. She married Samuel R. Johnson on December 5, 1970 at the Stavanger Lutheran Church in Stavanger, whom preceded her in death on September 7, 1981. She worked as a clerical secretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture A.S.C.S and the Grundy County Home. She also worked in the accounting and administrative department for Northern Petro Chemical Company. She was an active volunteer with the Morris Hospital and member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Morris Women's Auxiliary Post #294.
Gretchen is survived by her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Edith and her husband Samuel.
