John E. Rudow, 51, of Aurora, died suddenly at his home Monday morning.
Born March 24, 1924, in Morris, he was the son of Frank and Edith (Eich) Rudow. He was educated in Morris schools and married Wilma Gill on Nov. 29, 1947 in Morris. He was a welder by trade. During the World War II he served in the Army.
Surviving are his wife; his mother; two sons, Richard of Aurora and Terry of Elgin; two daughters, Miss Helen Rudow of Gardenaire, N.Y. and Mrs. Michael (Sharon) Gentille of Aurora; four grandchildren; one brother, Ferdie of Morris; three sisters Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Weidner of Morris, Mrs. Samuel (Gretchen) Johnson of Morris, and Mrs. Ralph (Bernadine) Wing of Carlinville.
He was preceded in death by his father, an infant son and an infant granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Hart officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Prayers will be offered that evening.
