He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Brenda Hanlin.

Bobby loved to be outdoors, whether it was to mow the grass, plowing snow or being in the fields with his brother-in-law (Nyle). He was always ready to help anyone when he could. Bobby enjoyed going on trips with friends, eating dinner out and reading. He belonged to the New Enterprise Stone and Lime Quarter Century Club.

He graduated from Warfordsburg High School Class of 1955. After high school he then served in the United States Army as a medic where he was stationed in Germany. He had the opportunity to meet Elvis Presley while in Germany.

He drove truck and then went to work for New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. as a grader operator on the blacktop division in Roaring Spring for thirty-seven years before retiring in 2005.
