She had lived in Lowell for nine years.
She was born October 27, 1911 at Galena, KS. Her parents were Melgar and Ethel (Martin) Densman.
She and her husband owned and operated Earl's Market in Galena, KS in the 1950's. She then became a beautician and operated Modern Beauty Shop in Galena from 1958 – 1971.
She moved to Lowell from Branson, MO where she had lived since 1984. She had lived most of her life in Galena.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hollister, MO.
She had also volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Skaggs Community Health Center, Branson, MO.
She was married to Earl C. Carriger, March 5, 1927 at Galena, KS. He died October 10, 1988.
Surviving is one son, Earl (Bud) Carriger, Branson, MO one daughter, Dana Jackson, Joplin, MO; one sister-in-law, Gladys Green, Galena, KS; grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 11 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Rev. Jack Jones will officiate.
Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena, KS.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 10 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
