Popular Young Man Passes Away After Long Illness.
Mr. Edwin Sutton Purviance died at his home 318 North Davidson street yesterday at 12:30 o'clock after an illness of several months. The funeral services will take place at the home this morning at 9 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Dr. A. A. McGeachy, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church. The interment will take place at Matthews.
The deceased is a son of the late David Harvey Purviance and Mrs. Emily M. Purviance. He is survived by a wife who was Miss Agatha Beattie, daughter of Mr. Robert Beattie, and three children. His mother and a brother, Mr. Walter D. Purviance also survive.
The deceased was 34 years of age and a young man of attractive personality and disposition. He had many friends in the city where he was well known.
