Charles Sherman Fisher age 59 of Broken Bow, NE passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the CHI Health St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE.
Charles Sherman Fisher was born on April 17, 1962 in Lincoln Nebraska. Shortly after his birth, his parents Gail Fisher and Marilyn (Griffith) Fisher moved to a home outside of Sargent, Nebraska. The family lived there until Charles had completed Kindergarten. At that time the family moved to Hyannis, Nebraska where Charles lived until he graduated from high school.
Following graduation Charles enrolled at Mid Plains Community College to study diesel mechanics. At the same time Charles enlisted in the Army National Guard. He proudly served in the Guard for 12 years. After completing his program of study at Mid Plains Charles worked for several years as a mechanic. During that time he discovered that his true passion was driving trucks and that became his primary occupation for the majority of his career. Charles had an entrepreneurial spirit and tried his hand at several different business ventures.
Charles married his loving wife Pam (Spangler) in 1987. The couple made their home in Lexington, Nebraska for a number of years before they ultimately moved to Broken Bow, Nebraska. The couple raised two children, Carlene and Anna. Charles was very devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren.
Besides the love he had for his family, Charles also had a real passion for guns, old trucks and the old west. He took a great deal of pride in being from Hyannis, and felt that growing up there had been a unique opportunity. Charles had a great sense of humor, he knew no strangers and was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 10:30 am at the Berean Bible City Campus located at 604 South H Street Broken Bow, NE with Pastor Tyce Jensen officiating. Burial will be at the Broken Bow Cemetery with Military Honors.
