Robert Lee Merriman (AKA) Mayor Bob of Pensacola Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at West Florida Hospital on July 10, 2021. He was born in Ridgeway, VA to Harry and Lottie Merriman on May 18, 1927.
He was a Sgt in the U S Army and served his beloved country during World War II.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Shoemaker (Tony) of Greensboro, NC; and grandson, Sean Michael Shoemaker (Ina) of Palos Verdes Estates, CA.
He will be missed by so many friends he has met on Pensacola Beach and at The Shaker! Every time you go to The Shaker say a little prayer and have a drink for him!
The family would like to thank the staff at The Arbors of Gulf Breeze and Covenant Hospice for his comfort and care!
