Thomas Leonard Merriman, 76, of 708 Oneida St., Martinsville, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at his home, after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 6, 1925, in Spencer to Harry Lee Merriman and Lottie Belton Merriman, both deceased. Two brothers, Luther Merriman and Bill Merriman, and a sister, Ann Knight, also preceded him in death.
Retired, he had worked at American Standard Homes and Marco Warehouse of DuPont.
Surviving are his wife of several years, Hattie Brown Merriman of the home; one sister, Louise Biggs of Axton; and one brother, Robert Lee Merriman of Pensacola, Fla.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Community Funeral Service chapel by Charles R. Tomlinson. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 Monday evening and at other times at the home.
