Michael T. "Mook" Butler, 38, Girardville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday at his residence.
Born in Pottsville he was a son of Debra Subick Butler, Girardville and the late Michael S. Butler. He was employed by Gould Pumps, Ashland, in the cleaning department.
Mike was an avid Red Socks and Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed spending free time playing pool.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother Harry Butler and a grandmother Katherine Subick.
He is survived by his mother Debra, his four sons; Cody, Brandonville, Blake , Lavelle, Harrison and Tanner Butler, Girardville, 2 daughters; Madisyn Butler, Harrisburg and Grace Butler, Girardville, a brother Shawn and his wife Shannon Butler, 3 sisters; Katie Butler, Pottsville, Angela Butler and her companion Bill Joyce, Girardville and Kelly Butler, Milton, his fiancé Melissa Pedemonti, grandfather; Joseph and Betty Subick, FL and grandmother Margaret Subick, Girardville, aunts; Ann Subick, Lisa Ressler and Tracey Picht, an uncle Joe Subick also by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville, with Rev. Brian Miller officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Michael's name, be made to the Girardville Little League.
