Elizabeth's birth place and parents are completely murky. On 2 censuses her birth place is listed as Exeter, Devon, and on 2 other censuses it is listed as St. Pancras parish in London. Several different genealogies I have seen list completely different parents for her. I have not found any records that definitively link her to anybody before her marriage in 1831. The marriage took place in Prestbury, her husband's home, so even that is not helpful.

Between the time of her marriage in 1831 and 1879, she was known as Elizabeth Edwards, and then became Elizabeth Baghot De La Bere--see her husband's memorial for a more extended explanation. There were four sons, three of whom are linked in Find A Grave, and the fourth named Edward, 1846-1849. They appear to have had three daughters; Eliza (or Elizabeth), born 1835, and Louisa, born 1837, do not yet have complete genealogical information--they may have died young?? Blanche, born in 1841, married Anthony Ben Falcon, who died at sea in 1876. Blanch died January 6, 1929 in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Blanche had 4 daughters--Blanche, Mary Maude, Ida, and Irene--and a son named Archibald, all born in the 1870s, and all except Irene born in India. Ida died shortly after birth, in 1872, in India. The other children all reached adulthood and were living in England in the early 1900s.
