Rowe was a civilian pilot instructor during World War II, owned an airport and flight school in Midland, and then got into the oil business where he invented several machines to make oil driller safer and easier.
Rowe was a member of the Baptist church.
He is survived by two sisters, a sister-in-law, five children, twelve grandchildren, eight grandchildren, and eleven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Eugene, and great grandson, Randy Struck.
