Final rites for Elijah Campbell, 74-year-old member of a well-known West Carroll family, were held here Wednesday. The funeral was from Catron-Golden Funeral home, and burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery, with the Rev. W. D. Drummond, Nazarene minister, officiating. Mr. Campbell died Tuesday at a Shreveport hospital.

Survivors include: three sons, George and Paul Campbell of this community, Tommie Campbell of Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. S. Murphy and Mrs. J. Murphy, both of Monroe, and Mrs. H. Wells of this community; six brothers, J. P. Campbell, Sr., of Oak Grove, Albert, Andrew and William Campbell of Pioneer, Dr. E. M. Campbell of Ferriday and T. I. Campbell of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. W. P. Fowler of the Oak Grove community, Mrs. L. McGrew of Pioneer and Mrs. Ada Vaughan, Monroe.

His death was the first of his generation in the immediate family.
