In his younger years Bruce worked in the oil fields in west Texas. Bruce moved his family to Lewisville in 1968. Bruce and his wife Sandra had three boys and also raised their two nieces as their own. He worked at Peerless Manufacturing, Inc. as a master welder and then later on as a foreman. He retired from Peerless Manufacturing, Inc. when he reached retirement age. He loved all of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and loved his iced tea with a passion...he will be missed.
Bruce is proceeded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee Barnfield who passed away at the age of 61, and also his son, Bruce David Barnfield, who passed away at the age of 23.
He is survived by two brothers, Larry Barnfield and Harry Barnfield. He is also survived by two sons and their children, Gary D. Barnfield and wife Cathy, and Eric K. Barnfield and daughter. Also survived by two daughters, Tina D. Cruz and daughter, and Cassondra Campos and husband Andy.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Brent D. Barnfield and wife Alexis, Tyler R. Barnfield and wife Avery, Chase C. Barnfield, Hope A. Cole and husband Wyatt, Faith L. Barnfield and Corazon Campos. Also great grandchildren, Sailor M. Barnfield, Crew W. L. Barnfield and Sage T. Barnfield.
