Robert S. Prichard, 91, of Danville passed away Nov. 13, 2007, after an extended illness.
He was born June 28, 1916, and was a son of the late Oliver and Leora Bell Prichard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie, three brothers and four sisters.
He was a graduate of Scott High School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Pa. He was a retired commercial artist from Heck's and was one of West Virginia's well-known artists. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a Pearl Harbor survivor, 2005 Citizen of the Year and a Paul Harris Fellow with Madison Rotary. He attended Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter and her husband, Patty and Harry Veries of Columbus, N.C.; two sons, Barry Myers of Hurricane and Timothy Myers and his wife, Cheryl, of Goddard, Kan.; and one sister, Juanita McMillium of Pittsburgh, Pa.
