Roma Lee "Hub" Pritchard, 97, of Cox's Fork died March 29, 2004 at the Boone Healthcare Center, after a short illness.
Born January 3, 1907, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Oliver and Leora Bell Prichard. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Shirley Edna Pauley Pritchard; brothers, James and Howard Pritchard; sisters, Audrey Hunter, Hattie Woods, Mattie Miller, and foster son, Billy Williams.
He was a former coal miner, a member of the UMWA, an avid farmer, and a member of the Cox's Fork Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving; sons, Evert (Nellie) Pritchard, Howard (Verna Belle) Pritchard, and Bernard (Yvonne) Pritchard, all of Danville; daughters, Gloria Dean (Ralph) Stowers of Danville, and Edith Jarrell of Cumming, Georgia; sisters, Juanita McMillion and Ruby Tetrulia, both of Pittsburg, Pa; foster children, Herman Williams, David Williams, Dwayne Williams, Ricky Williams, and Roseann Williams; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11AM Thursday at Stevens Funeral Home with Joe Pritchard and Tommy Bishop officiating.
Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
