Marie L. Watson, age 83 of Wymore passed away on July 8, 2021 at the Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center. She was born in Hanover, Kansas on June 5, 1938 to Willard and Grace (Whitsel) Packard. Marie was united in marriage on November 14, 1959 to Walter W. Watson. She was member of the Anderson Post American Legion #25 Auxiliary in Wymore as well as the Legion Auxiliary #23 in Auburn. Marie enjoyed playing BINGO and was an active member of the Senior Diners in Wymore.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Husted of Alton, IL, Jim Watson of Florida, Elizabeth Garst and husband Patrick of Rockport, MO, Melissa Merriett and husband Byron of Tarkio, MO, and Sandra Watson and Tyrone of Randolph, IA; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Thummel; special niece, Graceann Norton; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Watson (2012); son-in-law, David Husted; siblings, Elizabeth, Norma Jean, Wally, and George; niece, Judy McKenzie; nephew, Don Leggett; great nephew, Zachary McKenzie; and brother-in-law, Dennis Thummel.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Wymore Cemetery.
