Libbie Marie Kouba, daughter of Anton and Barbara Marsicek, was born, January 20, 1897 in Republic County, Kansas, and died October 27, 1973, at the Jefferson County Memorial hospital in Fairbury, Nebr., at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 7 days.
She attended the Crescent School in Republic county. She was united in marriage to Ernest Kouba and to this union two children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest, and two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Kadlec and Mrs. Stella Jensik.
Survivors include two daughters, Lena Elaine Sullivan and her husband, Lloyd, and Marjorie Marie Purdy and her husband, Elmer; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Adolph Marsicek and one sister, Lenora Marsicek Lesovsky.
Memorial services were held at the United Presbyterian church in Narka, Kansas, with Rev. J. Paul Boaz officiating. Burial was in National Cemetery south of Narka, Kansas.
