James "Jim" Crawford McGee

James "Jim" Crawford McGee Jr. passed away July 6, 2021 at the age of 72.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, of 49 years; daughter, Becky; and sisters, Jane McGee Allison and Nancy McGee (Bill) Ward.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James and Fern McGee of McMinnville; and son, Jeff McGee of Nashville.
Jim was a native of McMinnville, TN.
He graduated from McMinnville City High School in 1966 and Belmont University in 1970 with a degree in accounting.
He worked for the state of Tennessee as an accountant for over 40 years.
Jim was an active member of Crievewood Baptist Church serving on several committees and was a deacon for over 40 years.
His favorite past time was researching family genealogy, where he traced his family back to 1500 and he was quite an amateur historian. He was an avid fan of all sports teams from Tennessee.
Jim led a wonderful life based on his devoted faith and the love of his family which extended into his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, July 12 from 10:30 a.m. -12:00 Noon at Crievewood Baptist Church with funeral service following at 12:00 Noon with Dr. Ray Miller officiating.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the "Operating Fund" at Crievewood Baptist Church at 480 Hogan Road, Nashville, TN 37220.
