STRATTON, Va. -- Mr. Felix Jackson Jr., 66, entered into eternal rest Sept. 6, 2007, at Stratton VA Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 17, 1940, in Kingston, N.Y. to the late Felix Jackson Sr. and the late Hattie Tate Jackson.

Felix moved to Rensselaer, N.Y. in the mid-1950s. He graduated from the Van Rensselaer High School (regents diploma), Albany Business College (bachelors degree) and College of Saint Rose (masters degree). Felix enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country well as a sergeant, recruitment officer and a dental technician. After 30 years of service, Felix retired with honorable discharge as a Military Police Officer at West Point. Felix was the first African-American male to work at Robert Halls Clothing Store in Albany, N.Y. Felix was a life-time member of the VFW Post in Watervliet, N.Y. Felix was a well known self-employed CPA to various local area Entrepreneurs throughout the Capital District. Felix's hobbies were fishing and watching basketball and football.

Felix leaves to cherish one beloved sister, Frances Jackson Taitt of Rensselaer, N.Y.; two goddaughters, Kim McClaine and Sharon HIcks of Boston, Mass.; one godson, Joey of Rochester, N.Y.; the Jackson family; one special uncle, Leslie (Lett) Tate of Clover, S.C.; the Tate family of Albany, N.Y. and Jamaica, Long Island; special cousin, Ann Jackson of Kingston, N.Y.; the Cobb family of Clover, S.C.; the Graham family of Albany, N.Y.; as well as a host of friends and family throughout the Capital District.

Felix will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
