Betty Jean Hogan Ivey, 80, of Fort Smith, passed from this life on July 6, 2021. She was born, July 22, 1940, in Livingston, Texas to Reverend William and Sadie Rozell Hogan.
Betty is survived by her son and his wife, Cliff and Christy Ivey of Fort Smith; three granddaughters, Catherine, Elizabeth, and Mary Vivian Ivey; a sister Erldean Dotson of Bedias, Texas, and two brothers, Bill Hogan of Granberry, Texas and Larry Hogan of Sargent, Texas, as well as many of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward D. Ivey.

Betty held several positions throughout her life, along with being a doting mother to her only child Cliff. Her last two jobs being secretary for her husband's business in Channelview, Texas, and Human Resources Department at ABF Freight Systems in Fort Smith, before retiring to be a full-time grandmother.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, July 12, 2021, at Roebuck Chapel in Fort Smith First United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow in the Narthex of First United Methodist Church. Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at San Pedro Cemetery in Grapeland, Texas. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to San Pedro Cemetery, c/o Paul Oliver, 7144 FM 227 East, Grapeland, Texas 75844, or a charity of your choice.
