Judy graduated from John Harris High School and retired from the PA Department of Labor and Industry. She was an active member of the West Shore Coterie Club and was a member of the Penn State Alumni Association.
Judy loved to play card games with friends and belonged to several card clubs. She also played golf and went camping for many, many years. Her claim to fame was her bear collection which numbered well over 100.
She was a true survivor. She was likely the oldest living blue baby and has undergone 3 heart operations through her life, the first being as an infant when heart surgery was virtually nonexistent. She had another surgery in her late 20s at the infancy of open heart surgery and finally much later in life. Through it all, she maintained a happy and active life.
Surviving is her husband, Ben, and her sister, Barbara Rowe and husband Ronald and their children. She was also survived by Ben's sister, Sondra Dahlberg and her children.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 12 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg where there will be a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Vascular Institute at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
